As the Christmas season fast approaches, we thought it would be worthwhile to share with you all some of what we have been involved in this past year. Christmas is a time of joy, a time of gratitude and a time to remember the many blessings that surround our lives and this ministry daily. First and foremost this wonderful season of Christmas is an opportunity to contemplate the mystery of the incarnation. It is an amazing fact that our infinite God chose out of his immense love for all mankind to enter into time and become like us in every way but sin. (Hebrews 4:15) This scripture passage reminds us of His compassion (to journey with in suffering), mercy and love is beyond all comprehension. I remember clearly the day when I acknowledged God in my life as an adult, and realized with a deep conviction that he lived, died and rose, conquering sin and death for me. This is the Good News. Each Sunday in our parish Church I am reminded of this as I look towards the sanctuary. The high altar is flanked by two beautiful stain glass windows. To the left is the Annunciation and to the right the Resurrection. The Good News of the Incarnation makes sense only when seen in light of the Resurrection. These two great events are the bookends that hold all we believe. As you read our newsletter join us in the spirit of gratitude that embodies this wonderful season.
